Position: Nurse Registered Manager - Mental Health
Location: Lancashire
Salary: Up to £45,000 p/annum depending on experience + enhancements
Contract: Full time, permanent

MediTalent are seeking a Nurse Registered Manager - Mental Health to work for our client - a leading healthcare provider to work in their specialist residential centre based in the Lancashire area. As a Nurse Registered Manager - Mental Health, you will play a critical role in providing support, assessment, and interventions to promote mental health and create a positive work environment. You will hold a lead role in the management of patients and will be integral in helping shape the service and relevant best practice management pathways.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead/manage junior members of staff
  • Supporting patients who have a mental health need in our inpatient units, throughout their pathway, from pre-admission through to onwards discharge
  • Complete risk assessments and provide advice on mental capacity assessments
  • Demonstrate safe clinical judgement in evaluating, interpreting and documenting the outcomes of mental health nursing

The right candidate will:

  • Have a valid NMC
  • Be a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
  • Have experience in a mental health role
  • Leadership abilities: you'll manage larger teams, requiring strong people-management skills.
  • Manage challenging or disturbed behaviour, provide advice on medication and participate in discharge planning for inpatients who will require mental health support.
