MediTalent is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist to join a leading healthcare provider at their 45-bed care home. This role is perfect for an individual passionate about delivering exceptional care to residents with complex physical and cognitive challenges.
As a senior team member, you will lead therapy sessions, including group and recreational activities, while managing your own caseload of residents. You'll work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, ensuring that each resident receives a personalised treatment plan that supports their recovery and well-being. Role Responsibilities:
- Provide expert physiotherapy services to residents with neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Lead group therapy sessions and contribute to designing therapeutic activities tailored to residents' needs.
- Manage a varied caseload, ensuring all residents receive high-quality, individualized care plans.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, such as:
- Neurological and neuro-musculoskeletal evaluations.
- Developing tailored therapy or physical activity programs using diverse treatment approaches.
- Tracking progress through recognized outcome measures to ensure care aligns with the International Classification of Functioning (ICF) framework.
- Perform respiratory assessments and provide support for residents requiring complex non-invasive ventilation.
- Maintain accountability for all professional and clinical decisions.
Candidate Profile:
- Registered with the HCPC and a qualified chartered physiotherapist.
- Demonstrated expertise in neurological care for adults with complex conditions, including neuro-musculoskeletal issues.
- Experience in respiratory therapy is advantageous but not required.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to providing exceptional care.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to develop and implement effective care plans.
